Tournament Play

The Mario Kart Wii tournament is a single game elimination tournament (if you lose, you are eliminated). All players are matched up in a bracket with the top returning players from the previous year eligible for a 1st round bye (if possible).

In the first few rounds, the racing tracks are predetermined. In the later rounds, players must agree on a racing track. Computer players WILL NOT be included in any race. The semi-final round (final four) is a best-of-three match, and the championship match is a best-of-five. The 'Rainbow Road' track can only be chosen in the championship round (if necessary, as the fifth and final track).

All players are permitted to bring their own controllers.
